We have been able to secure face to face training for Talk Through Stories. This is suitable for all partner schools/graduated partner schools to access and is a strategy for maximising the impact of story time on vocabulary and language development. ELD is a real issue in schools across the country and this training will show you an effective way of addressing this through our reading of stories with our youngest children.

We are thrilled to have Nick Cannon carry out a face to face training day for reading leaders and reception teachers. The session will focus on Talk Through Stories approach to language and vocabulary development and will cover:

· Use the Talk Through Stories programme to close the word gap and develop children’s love of stories

· Teach every activity in the Talk Through Stories programme

· Inspire children to care about the characters and understand the story

· Choose the right books to connect with your children.

Attendees will leave with an action plan to develop story times and teach vocabulary in their school.
