Reader Leader Development Sessions

3.35-4.45pm

Programme Aims:

• To support reading leads in continuing to build on the knowledge and skills developed in their role.
• To created a network of skilled phonic leaders.

Session 1 - Tuesday 16th September - The year of the reading lead. An overview of the year ahead thinking about the elements involved in the rode and how best to plan ahead for the coming academic year.

Session 2 - Tuesday 11th November - Building and supporting your team of reading teachers in school.

Session 3 - Tuesday 13th January Supporting your slowest progress children to ensure progress.

Session 4 - Tuesday 3rd March Planning ahead for success in the phonics screen.

Session 5 - Tuesday 16th June Ensuring a strong finish to enable a strong start in September.
